is quite varied. Some of the major industries are:
AarhusKarlshamn AB (vegetable oil refinery) and Södra Cell, Mörrum (producing over 400 000 tonnes per year of chlorine free pulp for the world market). The  Karlshamn power station (1 000 MW oil fired electricity production -  "the world´s cleanest power plant of its kind") and E.ON Gas (LPG - liquified petroleum gas - storage and distribution) belong to the E.ON group, Asarums Industri (cooling systems), Viking Timber (of course!) and ABU Garcia (world famous sport fishing equipment) in Svängsta, just outside Karlshamn, with a fine little industrial museum as well. Also in Svängsta: the EC-Group (computer technology). The Karlshamn harbour is a major port for timber, pulp and oil products.
